Happy New Year

Our holidays are coming to an end and 2008 is just days away!
I hope you all had a great Christmas. We did! The best part was both my kids were home along with the boyfriend and friends.
Oh, I can now refer to my daughter's boyfriend as my future son-in-law because on Christmas Eve he gave her a beautiful engagement ring.
We spent most the day playing games together and having some fun family time. The day after Christmas we headed off to Texas to visit David's family in Tyler, TX and Houston, TX. It was a quick trip but we enjoyed getting to see them again. It is a long drive and we hadn't done it for 3 years so decided it was time again.
Hope you all are planning a great 2008. I am!

Another Birthday

Another one has come and gone. Do I feel 47? Somedays yes and somedays no. I am not one of those afraid to tell me age. To me it's just a number and has nothing to do with who you are. I do enjoy that most my friends tell me I am still a kid though.
This year I took advanatage of "My Day". I got David to do some honeydos for me. He even took a half day off from work and came home, installed a new kitchen faucet and filter for me and then took me to lunch. Got to have me favorite - Moo Sho Pork. After putting up lights and fixing the drier vent I let him off for the day. 9 of us went to Stillwater for dinner at Kyotos and Braums for dessert. I sure ate on my birthday!
Now it is time to get to work loosing all the weight I have put back on. My goal is to loose 20 pounds. It may take me a while but I will. Guess I better get on the tread mill after lunch today!

Fall

I use to not like Fall, I think because normally my allergies are so bad! This year thanks to a change in medication I am able to enjoy it. I have loved watching the trees all turn beautiful shades of red and brown. And these warm fall days make me feel like I am back in California. Only thing is there wouldn't be all this beautiful color there. I am busy getting ready for Thanksgiving. Cleaning house, planning the menu and getting excited that Jeremy will be coming home Tusday night.

Here I am

I am here but having nothing exciting to say! I wanted to show another side of me that most have not seen. I grew up in California and learned how to drive dunebuggies and motorcycles before I could drive a car. I was racing motorcycles as a teenager and started racing offroad at age 24 when my stapdad wanted out of our car and in the pits fulltime.
I have won a few and have a world record. I also raced in the Baja 500 & 1000 and placed 6th in the 1000. I was one of the first girls to race offroad. I had to leave that world behind when Dave and I moved to Oklahoma. Now we get our thrills from riding motorcycles across the country. This year we rode over 17000 miles including to Florida and to California.
